My diet and eating habits have changed drastically over the past five years. For most of my life, I was the “bigger” girl. I always struggled with my weight, and I always struggled with food. In 2020, I was morbidly obese, 300 pounds with an extreme food addiction and binge eating disorder.
I spent the majority of my life restricting foods, turning to food for comfort, trying to make myself smaller, overeating, and ignoring my body. After YEARS of trial and error, I finally learned that it’s all about balance.
I lost 140 pounds by finding balance, romanticizing my meals, and NOT restricting. That’s what I strive to help others with. We don’t need to cut out entire food groups. We need to focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods that make us feel our best!
I believe wholeheartedly that food creates memories and is meant to be enjoyed. Life is too short not to love the food we eat. And the best part? Eating healthy doesn’t have to be boring, time-consuming, or expensive.
